Eye Exams

A complete eye examination is a critical component in your vision care routine, but it is also important to your overall health and well-being. During an eye exam, your doctor will determine your eyeglass or contact lens prescription, check for common eye diseases/conditions, assess how effectively your eyes work together and evaluate your broader health through specific indicators present in the eye. Persons of all ages and levels of physical health should visit their eye doctor regularly. Routine eye exams are the pathway to preventive health care.

Tests that are performed during your examination include:

           •VISUAL ACUITY

•BLOOD PRESSURE

•COLOR VISION TEST

•INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE TO DETECT GLAUCOMA

•DEPTH PERCEPTION TEST

•REFRACTION

•RETINAL EXAMINATION

•BIOMICROSCOPY

At the end of your eye exam, we will provide the test results and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. This is your time and we will never rush you. At the end of your visit, we will also ensure that you have a written copy of your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. Most prescriptions can be ready in one hour.
